Aaron holds Alaska Registered Guide/Outfitter License #1259 and is licensed to guide in over half of Alaska’s Game Management Units. He spends nearly half the year guiding hunters and fishermen throughout Alaska. He has an undying desire to spend time in the most remote wilderness in America. Although Aaron has cut back on volunteer hours in favor of family time in recent years, he still stays very dedicated and involved. Aaron has often spent more time in a year volunteering for conservation causes and hunters’ advocacy than working. AOU raises approximately $50,000 per year for conservation causes through hunt donations. Aaron has averaged well over 10yoa on rams personally guided, over 27″ skulls on coastal bears, and over 62″ on moose. A record like this only comes from conservative hunting and a willingness to wait for the most mature animals.
Angie was born and raised in Anchorage, AK and has roots in the Copper Valley. Her grandparents homesteaded near Meiers Lake in the 1930’s and her grandpa Cleo was one of the pioneering Alaska bush pilots and hunting guides. She aides the outfit in all things office and admin related and is often available for inquiries and questions when Aaron is out in the field. Tyler (11yo), Samantha (9yo), Makayla (1yo) and our dogs Gravy and Mocha round out the Bloomquist family.

Chris Walker
Chris has been with us over 20 years and a lot of country. He is one of the best guides in the State of Alaska. Good natured, even-keeled, patient and focused he is an asset to our team. Chris works the summers fish guiding in Talkeetna Alaska.
Sterling Whitaker
Sterling started with us at 17 years old as a packer from Oregon. Now an Assistant Guide he is an excellent guide. His sense of humor will keep you in stitches and wondering his point view. Sterling has a cattle ranch in Colorado and also has a deer-elk guiding business there.
Montee Munns
Montee is a Las Vegas paramedic. He knows tons about horses and mules since he grew up with them. Montee leaves the heat every fall to hunt with us and we are so glad he does. He has a way of taking care of his clients, and they know it. Montee is an experienced Nevada guide as well. With a house-full of kids, he is one busy guy. We are lucky to have him.
Mike Duska
Mike was hired several years ago. Sent in a resume to us and the rest is history. Energetic, good attitude, skillful, patient are just some of his attributes. Mike also is a Hunting Guide in Pinedale Wyoming and Colorado.
Blake Trout is one of our young guns that is an absolute work horse. He was back after a bad knee last year, better than ever. I would love to keep him as my personal packer, as a 6’4″ ex-college baseball pitcher, he fits the bill. He is a bit of a goofball and a joy to share camp with. Blake has earned the right to test for his Registered Guide/Outfitter license and will do so soon. We expect big things from him in the future.
