Trophy Dall sheep hunting in Alaska may be the most physically challenging hunt you will do in North America. Great rewards come from great effort. Do you have what it takes to hunt Dall sheep in the Wrangell Mountains? If the answer is yes we can help you have a rewarding and successful hunting experience. You will be hunting in our sole use guiding concession in the Wrangell St-Elias National Park and Preserve. The Wrangell Mountains are world famous for producing great Dall sheep trophies. The sheep range in size from 37” to 45” The terrain can be anywhere from high smooth mountains and ridges to near vertical cliffs, timberline to ice fields.
This concession has it all. The scenery is unbelievable. That’s why they made it a Park, I guess!
We do base camp and back pack hunts. In both types you and the guide are delivered to the place you start the hunt by a pack string. After that it’s up to you and the guide.
Additional Information
Physicality of hunt, from The Journal of Mountain Hunting “Sheep hunts are one of most physically demanding hunts that exist so being in good shape is a must. You don’t have to be fast, it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Start training for your hunt as early as possible and the last few months before the trip are absolutely essential to your success and enjoyment, especially on a backpack hunt.” We couldn’t say it any better, please call for training tips.
